eThree Media Hosts "the porkrolls" for Their Production of "A Man About A Dog"

For the first time ever, the 48 Hour Film Project brought their city-wide competition to Savannah.  This year, 15 teams competed against one another in varying genres.  The porkrolls chose eThree Media as their base of operations and post-production during the two-day event for our proximity to locations as well as our state-of-the-art HD editing facility.  The genre, chosen from a hat, was "buddy film."  A universal character, line of dialogue and prop were assigned to all teams, and because Savannah was a first-time city for the competition, a local landmark was required in at least one shot of the finished film.

Our team submitted a 6 minute and 59 second entry entitled A Man About A Dog, the story of a lonely middle-aged driving instructor who meets a new best friend.  As the short film draws to a close, we find our hero contemplating a choice - or is he?

Directed by David Lavery, shot by Tim Gill, and edited by Eric Darling and David Lavery, A Man About A Dog made its debut at the first public showing at the Jepson Center on July 21.  The film was shot in 1080p, and is available on this page below at a reduced resolution.  Our long-time friend and talented actor, Phil Morales stars as Michael Murray, Instructor.

UPDATE (7/25/09):  The audience has spoken - A Man About A Dog receives the 2009 Audience Choice Award for the Savannah 48 Hour Film Project.
